Rouge et Blanc is a premier food and wine event held each year in Lake Charles, LA.
It is an event unlike any other in the region and attracts thousands of food and wine lovers who gather under the stately live oaks of McNeese State University in Lake Charles to enjoy the best the region has to offer.
The main event is a four-hour tasting extravaganza at which visitors meander through displays and booths set against the backdrop of McNeese State University.
Rouge et Blanc has grown considerably since it was first organized in 2006.
Several other events are now offered in conjunction with the main event held each October. The entire affair is made possible through the generosity of area sponsors, restaurants, wine vendors, expert presenters and patrons. A group of community volunteers also make this annual event possible through their tireless work and dedication to celebrating life in Southwest Louisiana through Rouge et Blanc.
This annual series of events serves as the flagship fundraiser for Banners at McNeese State University. Banners is an organization within the framework of the university dedicated to providing the community with easy access to exceptional arts and humanities programming and education unique to the area.
The Banners programs focus on lifelong learning and an appreciation of cultural diversity. The organization’s staff works to enhance the quality of life in the communities of Southwest Louisiana and beyond.
